Iron-deficiency anemia
Anemia (/əˈniːmiə/; also spelled anaemia and anæmia; from Ancient Greek: ἀναιμία anaimia, meaning lack of blood, from ἀν- an-, "not" + αἷμα haima, "blood") is a decrease in number of red blood cells (RBCs) or less than the normal quantity of hemoglobin in the blood.[1][2] In iron deficiency anemia, your body loses its ability to properly make hemoglobin because it does not have the iron to bind the molecules together. This results in small inadequate red blood cells.
