Understanding Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is characterised by localised soreness, stiffness and a reduced range of movement. It usually occurs around 24 hours after exercise and can last as long as seven days. The 24-72 hour mark is usually the most painful and it is something which effects novices more than people who regularly work out, unless they try a new type of work out. Please look below to see what our users say works for DOMS.
